Ok, Christmas is approaching, and seeing as this site is largely about online shopping, I'm going to do a series of Christmas shopping tips over the coming weeks. I will probably rehash some of my old posts, but there will also be plenty of new ones. If you are planning to shop on foreign shopping sites, now is obviously a good time to get your orders in, while stocks are plentiful.
To start off, I have created a video tutorial on the subject of my shopping directory. In the first clip, I show you how to save EUR100 in the purchase of a Creative Zen Vision MP3 player, by using the directory. In the second and third clips, I give a brief summary of the directory , its contents and the advantages of using it.
This is the first videocast I have done, and I made one or 2 little mistakes on it. Firstly, I had to insert an image to cover up a web page that had some personal info on it. Expect a jarring image to appear for about 10 seconds, halfway through the first clip. Secondly, I cut off a bit of the audio at the end of the 3rd clip, this was just a request to contact me if you are interested in helping out with the shopping directory. I used audacity to record the audio. Unfortunately I couldn't find any 'make me sound interesting' button on it, so i beg your indulgence. Its a bit blurry too, but its the process and not the details that are important.
