I wrote before about finding free software alternatives online. Now there is a website called Osalt.com that allows you to enter the name of any commercial software (eg photoshop) and returns you the top open source alternatives in that category (eg paint.net, gimp). Quite useful for the none geeks amongst us, I would say.
